Chronic Pain

If you are reading this, with chronic pain, then we are thinking you may already have a "part-time job" of doctor appointments, referrals, medication, and possibly purchasing every over-the-counter remedy at the store.  Chronic pain can be explained or unexplained; and it can be life changing.  Finding the right doctor, and other specialties can be a daunting task, on top of hoping this time, "this solution," will work and it doesn't.  Over time, hope can fade and this process of finding relief, can lead to more stress and pain.  Sound familiar?  Read on.

Pain.

We are not a replacement for medical care.  However, we do know the emotional toll that chronic pain can take, and the loss that is suffered: careers, making memories, being active, caring for life responsibilities, and the list goes on.  We also know how physically and emotionally isolating chronic pain can be, even if support is all around you.

Both Jodette & Billie have experience supporting people with chronic pain.  They partner with their clients to process feelings about their journey by addressing anxiety, depression, anger and grief. They utilize psychoeducation to help clients understand how their thoughts and feelings can impact pain and provide tools to help cope.

Billie has been in clinical counseling for a decade.  She is experienced in providing a hybrid holistic therapy, which includes counseling, energy and release work. Her clients address the whole person, while healing the body, mind and spirit.    Jodette's background in service and training includes addressing the emotional needs for people with chronic pain.  This includes mental health research with returning U.S. Veterans with PTSD, injuries and pain.  She has received training from DMR Move and Recover (Grand Rapids) to understand the neural pathways with pain. Jodette is also certified in mindfulness based modalities to help clients learn how their thoughts and emotions interact with their bodies and utilizes Act Commitment Therapy.

Don't go it alone...
